11/25/23 Daily Mail :"Former Jehovah's Witness lifts the lid on the brutal isolation he faced as a child
by Balaamsass2 ininteresting read.
while the daily news is not a high-brow paper, it does get a lot of views.
(i have known jw families this extreme towards children).

It was a center page story in the Daily Mail (UK) about Rachel--who had started the internet forum Ex JW Reunited that led to me discovering this whole world of ex jw's. I went on to meet lots of others--some are / were members on here over the last 13 years.

JWLITE
by Teddnzo ineven elders can be part of the new jw lite brigade these days.
they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.
i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

anniversary of JFK assassination
by desbah inthis is for all the ex-jw's on that dreadful day..... do you remember where you were when jfk was shot in dallas, tx?

yes--i remember exactly where and how i heard:
i was walking towards the entrance of the rented school hall that served as our kingdom hall--- one of my jw pals caught up with me and told me about it.
I was 15, and would be leaving grammar school for good a few weeks later. A few months after that i was guilted into becoming a pioneer by listening to DO Drage grinding on about it at an assembly. My pio partner was the same lad who told me the news about JFK.

Elmer3 months agoWell, according to your current “bio”, you are allegedly a seasoned elder from Bethel.
You should be able to answer your own question. But since you’re a troll, it won’t happen.i must have missed this--was it ever established that exBpima was a troll--or not

further thoughts about jw care homes in the UK.
Where a resident has " no" money--their care is paid for through social services, a part of the local civic council--funded by the tax payer. How much is paid depends on the care needs of the individual claimant--there are several care bands. The lowest level of need costs £2200 PER MONTH.
So--take a humble jw--having pioneered most of their lives--often living on $ocial $ecurity' is now elderly and depending on Funded care in their old age. What a loving provision from Jehovah.
No wonder the Watchtower $ociety is keen to distance themselves from all these pioneers--not to mention all those lifetime Bethelites kicked out before they became a liability.
How many JWs are there now in the UK ?--and how many of those are elderly? Do the sums !
Imagine if laws were passed holding the Watchtower .liable for these costs of elderly care ? They would be shitting them selves!
Make no mistake--these J Jireh care homes are NOT provided by the watchtower--they are a business--a cash machine.

who pays for their care?
here in the UK--anyone with no money is laughing--care home costs are paid for by the tax payer--ideal for most old dubs i would think, The retired person can have savings--up to about £25 ( i think) above that and they have to pay. Property also is taken in to consideration.
At this point greedy relatives rise to the surface. My wife is the registered manager of a private 20 room care home.

Who will be killed at Armageddon?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif the current doctrine is that only baptised witnesses are going to survive and everyone else burns them what about this new update new light that some from before the flood and sodomites will be resurrected?.
but didn’t he mention at the agm something about there is no point jehovah killing them and then resurrecting them again?
it seems they are confused about what they teach and that’s why brother jackson joked about “is this what we used to believe or what we believe now?”.
